New Phoenixville Winery in the works
John and Debbie Bowen believe that a winery should be a place where families and friends can gather to celebrate life’s enjoyable moments. Education from terroir > vine > bottle > tasting notes in the glass will be an integral part of the experience at Bowen Arrow Winery and Vineyards.
In the accompanying photo, the site location will be up the hill a bit just above the corn field. Patrons will enjoy a glass of wine and the, “Best View in Chester County.”

John Bowen is the primary winemaker but relies heavily on Debbie’s sensory evaluation skills throughout the winemaking process. When you read the tasting notes for their new releases, you can be certain that Debbie came up with most of the flavor and aromatic descriptors.
As a winemaker, John has learned the art of getting each wine to be the best version of itself. Some single varietal wines may not require any changes or additions. Others may benefit from blending a small portion of another varietal to round out the taste. The skillful art of blending is what transforms a good wine into a great wine. John and Debbie host blending sessions with the added input of some lucky friends.
